The knot.com published a study highlighting the top countries based on their wedding expenses.

United States

Weddings in the United States are not just about saying ‘I do’, they are often quite expensive. The average cost of a wedding in the country is $35,000, which includes the venue, dress, photography, groom’s attire, and catering. The average cost per guest is $300, with September and November being the most popular months for weddings. These expenses do not include the cost of the honeymoon, jewelry, or engagement rings.

United Kingdom

In the United Kingdom, the average wedding cost is slightly lower, at around $28,500. Weddings in urban areas tend to be more expensive than those in rural areas. The average cost per guest is $320, and August is the most popular month for weddings, with 16 percent of couples choosing to get married then. Except for the honeymoon and jewelry, the expenses cover all the cost including venue, catering, and entertainment, similar to the cost in the US.
