Fort Wetherill, Jamestown

Let us give you the other side of it. In 1776, when the British had occupied this fort, they were plagued by a black dog that haunted the entire fort. It is said that people can still spot him in the dark glaring at them and also hear his growls.
Seaview Terrace, Newport
Seaview Terrace looks like the mansion you usually see in horror movies, except for the fact that it is haunted. The most prominent ghost is that of Mrs. Bradley, the original owner’s wife. She is a stubborn one. You can often see her playing her favorite Estey organ. To top it off, there are discarnate voices and screaming to add to the ambiance.
Belcourt Castle, Newport
This castle is said to be haunted by a phantom monk. However, its paranormal element is a bit different from the rest. The horror factor centers around two chairs. It has been said that if you try to sit on those chairs, they will eject you out.
The Perron House, Burrillville
Of course, we cannot avoid the house that witnessed one of the scariest paranormal incidents known to mankind. The film on this took the world by storm.

Chestnut Hill, Cemetery, Exeter

The Breakers Mansion, Newport
This estate is one of America’s largest National Historic Landmarks, adding to the list of haunted mansions in Newport alone. It is said to have been haunted by the ghost of Alice Vanderbilt since her death in 1934.
However, investigators are not allowed on the estate since the resident family does not wish to disturb the ghost. They have agreed to Alice’s constant presence.

City Hall, Providence
Providence City Hall also makes it to this list because of several inexplicable incidents that the staff keep witnessing. People have reported seeing chairs moving by themselves, the smell of cigars even when no one is smoking, and the sound of whispers in an empty room.
The Late Mayor Doyle’s ghost, who is buried in the building, is to blame for this paranormal ambiance. The building has even been featured in an episode of Ghost Hunters.
The Ladd School, Exeter
This was initially founded as a school for the weak-minded. However, with time, it became an asylum for the mentally ill. It even housed psychopaths and so on.
